Third-Party Services

Used to fetch nearby restaurant data. Your approximate location is sent to Google's servers to retrieve results.

Location Permissions
The App requests access to your device's location ("while using the app") to find nearby restaurants. You may deny this permission at any time through your device settings — the App will use a demo set of restaurants in that case. We do not track your location in the background.
Data Retention & Deletion
All data generated by your use of the App (favourites, history, settings) is stored locally on your device only. To delete all App data, simply uninstall the App from your device. We have no server-side copy of your personal data to delete on your behalf.
Children's Privacy
Makanini is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address the issue.
Security
Since all user preference data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security features (passcode, biometrics, etc.). We do not transmit personal data to our own servers, minimising the risk of data breaches on our end.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
