Welcome to MakanIni ("we", "our", or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application MakanIni (the "App"). Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

• Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's GPS location to find nearby restaurants. Location is used only while the App is in use (foreground) and is not stored on our servers.
• Device Storage (Local Only): Your preferences — including favourite restaurants, blocked restaurants, spin history, language settings, and filter settings — are stored locally on your device using your device's secure storage. This data never leaves your device.
• No Account Required: MakanIni does not require you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any other personal identification information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to provide and improve the App's functionality:

• Your location is used to query nearby restaurants via the Google Places API.
• Your local preferences (favourites, history, filters) are used to personalise your in-app experience.
• We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or selling to third parties.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Places API (Google LLC) — Used to fetch nearby restaurant data. Your approximate location is sent to Google's servers to retrieve results. Google's privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google AdMob (Google LLC) — Used to display advertisements within the App. AdMob may collect device identifiers and serve personalised or non-personalised ads depending on your device settings and region. Google's privacy policy applies: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can opt out of personalised advertising on Android via Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalisation, and on iOS via Settings > Privacy > Apple Advertising.

4. Location Permissions

The App requests access to your device's location ("while using the app") to find nearby restaurants. You may deny this permission at any time through your device settings — the App will use a demo set of restaurants in that case. We do not track your location in the background.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

All data generated by your use of the App (favourites, history, settings) is stored locally on your device only. To delete all App data, simply uninstall the App from your device. We have no server-side copy of your personal data to delete on your behalf.

6. Children's Privacy

MakanIni is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can address the issue.

7. Security

Since all user preference data is stored locally on your device, its security depends on your device's own security features (passcode, biometrics, etc.). We recommend keeping your device's operating system up to date. We do not transmit personal data to our own servers, minimising the risk of data breaches on our end.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
